This work was recorded as “unmounted” in the paperwork documenting its sale from Marlborough Gallery, Inc., New York, to Allgemeine Europäische Kunstanstalt, Liechtenstein, on June 28, 1971. It is believed, though, that it was mounted by Marlborough Gallery conservators Edward Brown and Alan Thielker.
